Getting Started with PartAI

New to PartAI? Welcome! You don't need a gaming PC, a controller, or even an account to assume the role of a "Guest". Here is everything you need to know to host your first legendary game night.

1. Creating a Lobby

One person needs to be the Host. Click on "Create Lobby" on the home page. You'll be taken to your private game room. Copy the URL from your browser address bar (or click the "Copy Link" button) and send it to your friends via Discord, WhatsApp, or carrier pigeon.

Pro Tip: PartAI works best on a "Second Screen" setup. Put the game lobby on a TV or a shared screen via Discord Screen Share, and have everyone use their smartphones as controllers.

2. Selecting a Mode

Once everyone is in (we recommend 3-8 players for optimal chaos), the Host selects the game mode.

Classic: Good for beginners. Like Pictionary but with AI images.
Human Verification: Best for close friends who know each other's writing styles.
Fake News: Perfect for witty writers and creative minds.

3. The Art of Prompting

In modes involving image generation, your "Prompt" is your weapon.

Bad Prompt: "A cat."
Good Prompt: "A fluffy persian cat wearing a tuxedo, serving tea in a Victorian parlor, oil painting style."

The more descriptive you are, the better the AI can visualize your idea. However, in some modes, you want to be vague to trick other players. Mastering this balance is the key to winning.

4. Scoring and Winning

Points are calculated automatically. Speed matters! Answering quickly usually awards more points than answering correctly but slowly. Keep an eye on the scoreboard between rounds to see who is in the lead.
